Welcome to the Kent Firefighting Museum

Registered Charity No:1157631
The Kent firefighting Museum tells the story of firefighting particularly in Kent, through the display of historic firefighting appliances, uniforms, equipment, and ephemera as well as through archives, records and photographs.

Our aim is to advance education for the public benefit, on the subject of fire, fire safety and firefighting in Kent, through the museum and learning resources.

The Museum is governed and managed by volunteers, and financed entirely by donations from the visiting public.

Kent Firefighting Museum

Welcome, we open for the 2026 season on Wednesday 18th March.

Do come and see the changes we have made over the winter.

Have you thought about joining a great team as one of our volunteers?

We are always happy to welcome new Visitor Guides, and Fire Service experience is not necessary, so please contact us via this website. Museum corporate fleeces and shirts provided, so wear the badge with pride.
